Activities under $10 for kids

Using a variety of plant material including gum nuts, cones and interesting seed pods, children are invited to spend half an hour or so at Plant Craft Cottage in the Royal Botanic Gardens, creating a ‘Fantastic Friend’ to take home. Activities under $20 for kids
ArtPlay is a place where children – from babies to 12 year olds – can explore their creativity and share unique artistic experiences with professional artists. Bookings are required for most workshops, however there are also free drop-in events available. Days and time vary with most ticket prices starting at just $16 per child.
Packed with comedy shows especially to delight the kids, including the Brats Kids Carnival which is ideal for youngsters with a taste for wild circus skills, pumping music, ridiculous acts of amazement and eye popping party tricks.. Search for eggs under the trees, race the kids with traditional picnic games, listen to the live music and enjoy the carnival rides. A wide range of food and drink options will also be available, providing for a full day of fun and laughter. Sunday March 25 and tickets the egg hunt are just $12.50 per child.
Fall down the rabbit hole into Wonderland, a world premiere exhibition celebrating the timeless stories of Lewis Carroll and Alice’s adventures on screen. At ACMI Museum from 5 April – 7 October 2018. Ticket prices are just $16 per child and $25 for adults.
A limited edition immersive experience for children aged from 6 up at the Old Melbourne Goal. Participants will have the opportunity to become inmates and must explore the Gaol to discover all the necessary clues to create the perfect escape plan, without being discovered by the prison guards. Running daily from 31 March – 15 April 2018. Ticket start at just $15 for kids up to the age of 15 and $28 for adults.
Wonderland Theatre endeavours to entertain and educate young audiences with traditional pantomimes based on classic fairytale stories. Filled with music, magic and comedy, our productions make for a perfect family outing or parent group get together. Enjoy a remake of the classic Jack and the Beanstalk tale these school holidays, showing twice daily at 10.30 and 1.30 from 9-14 April 2018 at the Phoenix Theatre. All tickets just $20.
